CHINESE NEW YEAR

On Friday afternoon the Year Three and Six students gathered together to celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year. The children rotated through different stations to learn about the customs and traditions associated with Tét and Chinese New Year. 2018 is the Year of the Dog. The last time it was the Year of the Dog was in 2006.

The children made lanterns, cooked longevity noodles, drew dragons, created dog puppets and even danced to Chinese pop music.

The afternoon allowed the children to gain a perspective of how our Sister School celebrates the Lunar New Year.

Many thanks to the wonderful parents who assisted in running the activities. Your support enabled the event to be a success!
