We can now rejoice in the glory of Jesus and the joy he has given us in his resurrection.

Each year we observe Easter.  For some of us it may be a well-earned rest with our family and friends. Easter, the feast of the resurrection is the greatest celebration of the Christian Church and is the most important occasion in the Church year.

Let me start this week’s newsletter by congratulating all the students and families who attended the Family Mass last Saturday evening.

This week we would like to share some information about the Education Support Program that is operating at Infant Jesus School.

It’s Thursday of Week 6 and the countdown to the Easter break is now in earnest.  Given we are over half way through this first term, it’s at this point that one realises the true breadth of the educational experience available to children these days.

Sometime ago, I came across two cartoon illustrations, the first depicted four appropriately robed gentlemen in earnest discussion. One was saying to the others, “If we put our heads together and go about this the right way, we could end up with a best seller. Well, what about it, will you be in it? What about you, Matthew? How about you, Mark? What do you think, Luke?”

‘It Takes a Village to Raise a Child’

It was only the other day a parent mentioned to me how impressed they had been with their child in the way they had settled into school this year.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of holidays is looking forward to them and, for children, the prospect of the Christmas holidays offered a large amount of enjoyment.

Welcome to the 2018 school year. I extend a special welcome to all our new families joining the school community and wish them a happy first year at Infant Jesus School. I hope everyone has had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year spending time with family and friends.
