SOCCER CLUB

On Monday night we saw two of our Infant Jesus students and Infant Jesus School Soccer Club players, Angelique Clayton and Taya Coates run out on to NIB Stadium at half time when Australia (Matildas) vs Thailand.  Both girls represented our school and the Soccer Club with pride, showing off their talent and skills in front of a massive crowd.  What an honour to see them play!  Congratulations to them both for being selected by Football West.  Here is a picture of the girls with the match trophy.

TRAIN WITH PERTH GLORY

The Club is lucky enough to offer our members an opportunity to take part in the Club Based Training (CBT) which is offered by Perth Glory.  We also intend to send out an email to all parents who have registered their child advising of the following opportunity.  Club Based Training is an opportunity for our players aged 6 to 12 to connect with Perth Glory via their Community and Development Coaches.  This will be done in the form of four one hour training sessions which will be held at our training ground, Emberson Reserve during our normal training times.  Each training session is tailored to our specification regarding ability, age group, gender and the type of program to be conducted in their training environment.  Perth Glory are offering to run this during Term 2.  Essentially this means for $80 per player, Perth Glory will run four training sessions at our ground.

Depending on the number of players who sign up for the CBT, we will either have CBT training per year group or training for one group consisting of a mix of players.  We are aiming to have the four training sessions for the U8, U9, U10 and U11 year groups on Tuesday 8, Thursday 10, Tuesday 15 and Thursday 17 May, during normal training times between 5.00pm-6.00pm.  The U6 and U7s will run every Tuesday from 8 May until 29 May during normal training hours between 5.00pm-6.00pm.

Perth Glory FC’s Community and Developing coaching staff are highly trained in ensuring that each child enjoys the football, improves their skills while always having loads of fun!  Along with Perth Glory coaches, each participant will receive a sponsor giveaway, Perth Glory ticket voucher.

Please advise via email at admin@ijsoccerclub.com no later than Sunday 1 April of your child/ren’s interest and what year group they belong to.  Players who do not take up this will be still participate in normal IJ training on the dates mentioned above.  An email advising of next steps and payment method will be sent out once close off has occurred.  If you have any questions please email or send a PM via our Facebook Page – Infant Jesus Soccer Club.

Parking

Vehicles using the carpark from the Russell Street entrance require a 2018 Parking Pass (blue for Three Year Old Kindy, red for Kindy and yellow for Pre-Primary) to be displayed each time this carpark is accessed.

To ensure the safety of all please follow the parking procedures and clearly display the 2018 Parking Pass while parked in this carpark.

If you do not have a 2018 Parking Pass options areparking in another area, which includes the Infant

Jesus Church carpark, or using the drive through to drop off and collect Year 1 – 6 students.

In anticipation of your co-operation in this matter.  Thank you.
